NEW Medical Directorship! Hospice Care facility seeking a physician to become Medical Director at a thriving hospice facility located in Bowling Green, KY (halfway between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY). The position is full time with full fringe benefits. Salary range is $200,000-$215,000. Hospice and Palliative Care Certification is required, but you can also obtain it within the first year of employment. This position requires the Medical Director to be the face of hospice within the community including but not limited to: rare hospital visits, M-F telephonic call (no weekends), rare home care visits, no rounding, liaison within the community, working closely with the CEO in the community speaking, educating and advocating, position is nurse care driven so must work well with RNs. Other details about the position include: 10 bed unit with most patients receiving care in their homes, excellent facilities and a beautiful campus, approx. 3 or 4 hours of administrative work each day while the rest of your time is spent working to increase awareness as the liaison between hospice and the growing community. Bowling Green is the 3rd largest city in Kentucky and home to Western Kentucky University, The Corvette GM Plant and Museum, Mammoth Cave National Park is a 30-minute drive, several parks, hiking and bike trails throughout the city/county.
