Facility: This cancer center is a leading oncology treatment facility equipped with cutting-edge technology including daVinci robotic-assisted surgery, Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator offering IMRT stereotactic radiation treatment, PET/CT scans, and the region's only automated breast ultrasound (ABUS). The center provides comprehensive cancer care services to the surrounding community. Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Job Details: Clinic schedule Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm with possibility of half day off during the week Long-term assignment: 4 weeks per month (May-August), then 2 weeks per month (September 2026 onward) Primarily medical oncology (60%) and hematology (40%) patient care Patient load of 15-23 patients per clinic shift Perform consults, follow-ups, and possibly bone marrow procedures Light call requirements with beeper consultation (1-2 patients during night call) Weekend on-call and some weekday evening call with phone calls and occasional rounding Work alongside 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time APPs No acute leukemia or malignant hematology cases Hospitalists handle new patient admissions Board certification required (minimum eligible) Must have ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications Requires at least 2 weeks of availability to be considered Emergency privileges available for open dates within 60 days 90-day credentialing timeframe Closest airport is Joplin Regional Airport with lodging available at Homewood Suites Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. by Jobble
