What You Will Do As the HR Generalist, you will support our expanding Retail and Customer Service teams, playing a vital role in delivering a superior employee experience for our front-line employees. We are seeking a tech-savvy, business-focused HR professional who doesn't just follow processes but actively seeks to improve them. You will help the People team in building a high-performing, best-in-class organization. Responsibilities Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to automate manual HR tasks and utilize AI tools to improve team efficiency, document drafting, and response times. Employee Liaison: Serve as the primary HR contact for Retail and Customer Service teams, ensuring a superior employee experience. Data & Analytics: Generate and analyze quantitative HR reports to track KPIs and support data-driven decision-making. Policy Expertise: Maintain a strong working knowledge of Saatva's Employee Handbook and policies to guide managers. HRIS Mastery: Develop expertise in ADP Workforce Now, maintaining digital personnel records and supporting payroll processing as needed. Compliance & Leaves: Manage the leave of absence and medical accommodation process in partnership with third-party administrators and payroll. Full Lifecycle Support: Facilitate seamless onboarding/off-boarding, including data entry, I-9 processing, and exit interviews. Performance Management: Support supervisors with performance management and employee relations in a timely, appropriate manner. What You Will Need HR Expertise & Compliance Experience: 3+ years in HR with a strong grasp of policies, employee relations, and employment law (FLSA, FMLA, etc.). Operations: Proven track record in full-lifecycle onboarding/off-boarding and supporting performance management. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or a quantitative field preferred. Systems & Data Fluency HRIS Proficiency: Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now (Payroll experience is a major plus). Data-Driven: Ability to create, analyze, and interpret HR metrics to drive informed business decisions. Tech-Savviness & Innovation AI Literacy: Proficiency in using Generative AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and draft communications. Process Improver: A proven ability to identify administrative "bottlenecks" and implement technical or automated solutions to solve them. Professional Core Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both frontline associates and executive leadership. Reliability: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the discretion to handle confidential matters with sound judgment. In-Person Work Environment Because this role directly supports our frontline teams, regular on-site presence is required at one of our Viewing Room locations to effectively meet daily operational and employee needs. Primary Locations for Consideration: New York, NY Paramus, NJ Washington, D.C. Boston, MA Baltimore, MD San Diego, CA Pasadena, CA Travel Expectations: This role requires 25%35% travel to our retail store locations and additional sites as needed. Salary Range: $70,000$80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable state and local laws.
