Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together QUALIFICATIONSCurrently enrolled in Electrical, Controls, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable disciplines at a four-year accredited university.Coursework or project experience in circuit design, test systems, or electronics (laboratory, academic, and personal/team project experience is applicable).Must be able to work full time (40 hours per week), on-site in Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA for 12 consecutive weeks.Co-Op Programs will run concurrent with University Semester datesIntern Program will run May - August 2026Must be able to provide own transportation and housing. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Have completed their Junior and/or Senior yearGPA of 3.5 or aboveFamiliarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Altium) or programming languages (Python, C++, LabVIEW)Understanding of common communication protocols (Ethernet, Serial, CAN)Passionate about advancing space security and sustainability.Resilient problem-solving attitude. RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of our GSE Engineering Internship Program, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the design, development, and testing of ground support equipment and systems. Internship responsibilities may include: Ground Support Equipment Design:Assist in designing and developing ground support systems and equipment including racks, enclosures, test fixtures, and data acquisition systems (DAQs) for spacecraft system and component level testing.Create mechanical designs for GSE used during spacecraft integration, test, and launch operations, including lift fixtures, transport containers, and interface adapters. Electrical and Schematic Development:Support the development of GSE schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical interface documentation.Learn to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to guide installations and troubleshooting.Assist with PCB layout design and review using tools such as Altium. Test System Integration:Support the fabrication, bring-up, and checkout of GSE and test equipment.Assist with modifications, repairs, calibrations, and routine maintenance of test equipment.Help integrate DAQ hardware and software for spacecraft testing applications. Communication Protocols and Signal Integrity:Gain exposure to common communication protocols (Ethernet, Serial, CAN) and learn best practices for signal integrity, grounding, and shielding.Assist in wire harness design, routing, and testing activities. Documentation and Testing Support:Develop and maintain documentation for engineering processes, test procedures, and equipment specifications.Provide on-site technical support during scheduled testing activities and learn operational safety protocols.Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities alongside experienced engineers. Professional Development:Collaborate closely with mentors and team members to apply your knowledge and develop technical skills in a fast-paced aerospace environment.Engage in cross-functional teamwork, interacting with engineers from various disciplines to solve complex challenges.Showcase your work through presentations or project reviews.Participate in social and professional events with fellow interns and employees.
