By embracing these principles, you will be part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact today and for the future.H2C seeks a SES Specialist who, under general supervision, is responsible for providing security and emergency services as well as leading digital transformation efforts to modernize work processes, improve data management, and strengthen operational efficiency in support of H2C activities. The duties of the SES Specialist include, but are not limited to: Perform and document dispersion modeling, toxicological and radiological consequence hazard assessments, and design basis threat analysis. Serve as a SES SME in digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline and modernize workflows, implementing innovative technology solutions, and drive continuous improvement through digital tools. Guide SES team and stakeholders on best practices for digital transformation related to facility security, emergency preparedness, and asset management. Implement SES DOE requirements within H2C site/facility Category 2 and 3 non-reactor nuclear facilities, commensurate with the hazards present. Serve as a backup in the review, analysis, and maintenance of H2C Emergency Preparedness Hazards Survey, Emergency Planning Hazard Assessments (EPHA), and Emergency Action Level (EAL) procedure for each hazardous facility. Perform programmatic and self-assessments of the SAS and EM programs, interface with senior management and Department of Energy staff regarding hazards analysis and associated documentation. Maintain SAS plans and procedures to comply with DOE Orders and Directives. Support development and maintain H2C Asset Protection Agreements documenting facility security requirements. Ensure H2C Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements are current and evaluated. Support ensuring contract requirements are implemented and flowed down appropriately. Interface with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) security staff and H2C project/program personnel to implement SAS requirements. Provide oversight of the H2C access control program Assist in the corrective action management process and follow-up as required. Final Approval authority for Foreign National Access Program (FNA) for H2C. Support Management and Human Resources with inquiries and investigations. Provide training/briefings to company personnel. Minimal off-shift work to support exercises, assessments, and on-call as needed. Serve as a member of the Hanford Site Emergency Operations Center. Support Emergency Preparedness drills/exercises/training for Emergency Response Organization (ERO). Perform additional duties, as assigned by management. Required QualificationsGrade 18:BA/BS in an engineering, security or scientific discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Grade 19:BA/BS in an engineering, security or scientific discipline and 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" ClearanceDesired Qualifications Good written and oral communication skills. Experience in using HotSpot/EPI Code software, performing hazard surveys, and developing Emergency Action Level verbiage to support operations personnel. Previously/currently qualified as a technical analyst and/or a security specialist. Proficiency preparing and maintaining barrier and accident analyst, dispersion modeling, and toxicological and radiological consequence hazard assessments, design basis threat analysis. Must be able to complete on-the-job training required for the position. Prior work within the professional field(s) supporting implementation of company policies. Knowledge of the EM and SAS concepts, DOE Orders /Directives and contractor policies and procedures as they relate to the DOE complex. Demonstrated expertise in digital transformation and technology integration, including the ability to implement digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, data management, and reporting. Experience leading digital transformation projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize work processes. Compensation & BenefitsIn accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors.
