The Pharmacist will provide patient care services and also serve as a resource for drug information to the medical and nursing staff. Makes recommendations to providers and documents interventions. Participates in monitoring medications for safety and effectiveness. Perform medication verification as required by law. Oversee technician preparation of medication orders including hospital compounded medications. Participates in product selection, procurement and receiving of pharmaceuticals. Provides medication related education and information to providers. QualificationsEducation: B.S. Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Experience: Appropriate pharmacy setting experience preferred, but not required. License(s)/Certification(s): Must be licensed or obtain licensure to practice Pharmacy in Iowa.
