Endpoint Operations Engineer - Remote Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Operations Engineer to join our enterprise Endpoint Engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, deep experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM, and a solid understanding of Windows operating systems. This role focuses on maintaining endpoint health, ensuring successful software deployments, and investigating issues across large-scale enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Monitor, analyze, and remediate software deployments across enterprise systems using SCCM / MECM. Proactively identify and resolve failed application or patch installations. Troubleshoot Windows OS issues, performance problems, and endpoint reliability issues. Package vendor software for deployment, validate, and deploy software packages using PSADT or similar frameworks. Perform root cause analysis on recurring endpoint or deployment issues and document resolutions. Utilize Nexthink to analyze endpoint behavior, performance, and user experience metrics. Maintain and update endpoint health dashboards and deployment reports. Partner with infrastructure, security, and automation teams to improve endpoint stability and compliance posture. Work endpoint-related problem tickets escalated from the Help Desk, ensuring timely resolution and detailed documentation of root cause and corrective actions. Support incident response and escalation for high-impact endpoint or deployment incidents. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM (application deployment, collections, baselines, reporting). Strong Windows OS troubleshooting background, including registry, event logs, and system performance diagnostics. Proven ability to investigate failed deployments, log review, and issue remediation at scale. Experience with PowerShell for automation and diagnostics. Understanding of software packaging processes (e.g., MSI, EXE, PSADT). Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams in a large enterprise environment. Preferred Familiarity with Nexthink or other endpoint analytics tools. Experience integrating MECM with Intune or other cloud management extensions. Experience with reporting tools (SQL queries, Power BI, SSRS). Understanding of endpoint security configurations, patch compliance, and software inventory management.
