Description: Position is based in Oncology/Infusion, experience in sterile compounding strongly preferred, inpatient/infusion/oncology preferred. Job Summary: Regulatory responsibilities to include but not limited to Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAC), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Kaiser Permanente Policy, Compliance and Regulatory Agencies. Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy without personnel responsibilities. Responsible for directing work flow and employees to meet department metrics and service standards. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanentes Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Essential Responsibilities: Work as a Clinic Pharmacist in member care. Pharmacist in charge for the pharmacy outlet with name on the pharmacy license and responsibility for corresponding regulatory and compliance responsibilities. Examples include, but are not limited to: Direct and adhere to Washington State PQAC pharmacy requirements, as assigned to the Pharmacy Manager per the Washington State PQAC, and acts as the pharmacist on the license of the prescription drug outlet. Weekly and monthly compliance audits for DEA and Washington State PQAC. KP Pharmacy Policy adherence. Work with Regulatory agencies to include but not limited to: DEA, Washington State PQAC, CMS, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Compliance audits and remediation. Resolve compliance and regulatory discrepancies. Pharmacy workflow management: Direct and schedule employees in daily workflow to meet service metrics. Guide all team members in their role and provide feedback to team members and leadership. Address member concerns in addition to supporting team members to triage member complaints and gaps in service. Support and facilitate other leaders and health care providers in the medical office building and regional Pharmacy leaders with Health Care Entity (HCE) regular audits and subject matter expertise. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience directing workflow in a professional environment. Minimum one (1) year of experience directing pharmacy regulatory/compliance activities to include: working with Regulatory agencies such as DEA, Washington State PQAC, CMS, FDA; compliance audits and remediation; resolving compliance/regulatory discrepancies. Education Bachelors degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. License, Certification, Registration Pharmacist License (Washington) required at hire Additional Requirements: Leadership skills with ability to direct the activities of others on a direct or matrix team basis. Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills. Ability to effectively anticipate, resolve, and respond to issues as they arise.
