Position Type: Certified Student Support Services/Psychologist Date Posted: 2/23/2026 Location: Lamphere School District District: Lamphere Schools Position: School Psychologist Intern for 2027/2027 SY Salary: at the appropriate step on the LFT salary schedule Qualifications: Completion of school psychologist coursework and supervised practicum. Meet all license requirements for school psychologists in Michigan Administer and interpret standardized and informal assessments (observation, curriculum-based measures, etc.) Support staff in the administration and use of assessments and tiered interventions Excellent verbal and written language skills. Organized and able to manage multiple assignments within multiple buildings Facilitate functional behavior assessments and develop and implement positive behavior support systems Ability to lead teams in writing behavior intervention plans Collaborate with staff and families CPI trained or willing to attend training Knowledgeable and able to apply the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) in determining eligibility for Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MET) Knowledgeable and able to apply the rules in finding students eligible under Section 504 Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and online sourcing tools with functional knowledge of internet use for search platforms Ability to withstand the strain of the position Must be reliable and punctual with excellent work-related attendance record Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable Responsibilities under the supervision of fully licensed physiologist: Conducts extensive psychological evaluations and re-evaluations of referred students Leads Multi-Evaluation Teams in eligibility decisions following MARSE rules Interprets psychological data to school personnel, other professionals, parents, and the student Provides interventions and makes recommendations to assist high-risk students in the classroom Participates/Leads problem-solving conversations Observes and collects data for students experiencing emotional, learning, or attention problems in the classroom Works within a team to complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and support the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Completes Medicaid documentation Participates in professional learning opportunities to keep abreast of new developments and best practices in the field to best support and plan for students Provides professional development related to supporting students with disabilities and eligibility requirements Crisis intervention Communicates effectively verbally and in writing Maintains positive, effective communication with staff and students Maintains regular and punctual attendance Such alternatives to the above responsibilities as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable Qualified Applicant Procedure: Certified Positions click here Non-Certified Positions click here Selected candidates will be required to have a district paid fingerprint criminal history check processed through the Michigan State Police and FBI.
