The CMM Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring machined components meet specifications and tolerances before they reach customers. The Work You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will: Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Inspect machined parts and assemblies for dimensional accuracy Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files Document inspection results and report non-conformances Utilize micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other precision measuring tools Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement efforts You will be working within a high-capability CNC machining environment producing large and complex precision components. Machines, Software & Inspection Equipment You’ll work with advanced quality systems including: CMM Software: PC-DMIS Zeiss Calypso (or similar) Inspection Equipment: Zeiss Contura & DuraMax CMMs Aberlink CMM Mitutoyo Crysta Apex Keyence Measurement Systems Brown & Sharpe CMM Laser micrometers, profilometers Surface plates, gage blocks, bore gages, hardness testers Materials You’ll Inspect Aluminum Alloy & Stainless Steels Titanium Exotic Alloys Ceramics Casemer machines virtually all machinable materials, including high-performance alloys.
