Position Summary Under the supervision of the Lead and/or Senior Lead Analyst, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing programmatic and financial compliance monitoring for assigned contracts. This role ensures that subrecipients and grantees comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, grant agreements, and organizational policies. The Analyst will execute all phases of the compliance review process, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up on corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Perform programmatic and financial compliance monitoring for assigned contracts to ensure adherence to industry laws and regulations. Review contracts and applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations to execute comprehensive compliance reviews, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, monitoring results, reporting, and corrective action documentation. Examine programmatic and financial records to ensure accurate recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies. Evaluate the financial capabilities and internal controls of subrecipients to determine compliance and risk exposure. Conduct subrecipient risk assessments and interpret financial audits to determine appropriate monitoring procedures and compliance steps. Examine compliance practices and policies within subrecipient/grantee organizations; identify non-compliance areas and provide recommendations for corrective action. Review grant agreements and amendments to ensure adherence to grantor regulations, programmatic compliance requirements, and accurate financial data representation. Complete required work papers and prepare monitoring reports for Manager review and approval. Collaborate with the Lead and Senior Analyst regarding compliance review issues and recommended next steps. Assist the Lead or Senior Analyst and Supervisor with monitoring procedures or issues involving subrecipients and contractors. Travel as required to perform onsite monitoring for assigned contracts. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of auditing experience, preferably with federal or state government grant programs. Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in grant monitoring, compliance, auditing, or financial review preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations and compliance requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills. Ability to interpret financial statements, audit reports, and internal control systems. Knowledge of essential business and corporate structures, budgets, and financial schedules. Willingness and ability to travel as required.
