Material Analyst Kitting & Assembly Operations (On Site) Key Responsibilities Material Planning & Analysis Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and production requirements to ensure material availability for kitting and assembly. Plan and release kits and assembly work orders based on customer requirements and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels of fasteners, components, and packaging materials to prevent shortages or excess stock. Investigate and resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and inventory variances. Maintain accurate bills of material (BOMs) and routing information for kits and assemblies. Partner with purchasing and supply chain teams to support replenishment planning and supplier performance. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time completion, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and rework. Identify opportunities to improve material flow, kit accuracy, layout, and assembly processes. Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects within kitting and assembly operations. Prepare and maintain reports related to material usage, shortages, and operational performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between operations, customer service, supply chain, and warehouse teams regarding kit and assembly requirements. Support customer-specific kitting programs and value-added services. Assist with new product or customer onboarding related to kits and assemblies. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in material planning, inventory control, or operations within a distribution or manufacturing environment. Experience with kitting, light assembly, or value-added services strongly preferred. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in a warehouse or distribution environment. May require standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds as needed
