REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director/Assistant Director of Special Education WORK YEAR: 2026-2027 School Year COMPENSATION: $15,000 SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist, the intern may participate in a wide variety of activities including: evaluative assessments, MTSS process, PBIS, and/or problem solving, crisis management, FBA/BIP development/monitoring, and other activities as determined and allowed by District, State, and University requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: School Psychologist Intern approval from Illinois State Board of Education Masters degree in Psychology or enrolled in and scheduled to complete EdS program for School Psychology at the conclusion of internship. Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferred The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement. A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities. A strong commitment to professional excellence. Internship experiences will include the following: A. Assessment formal and informal assessment procedures selecting appropriate assessment instruments conducting assessments appropriately interpreting assessment information accurately screening/referral/evaluation process assessment of instructional goals and objectives reporting assessment data in a clear and concise manner providing classroom observations providing consultation to resource staff regarding assessment and interpretation of results B. Designing Individualized Educational Programs developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planning fully participating in the MDC /IEP process C. Provision of Direct Services providing consultation to school administration and parents as needed providing training for parents and staff as needed participating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategies demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques D. Case Management participating with the building Student Services Team monitoring implementation of student I.E.P.'s responsible for gathering, monitoring, and completing of all pupil data surrounding staffings, case studies, and annual review managing and coordinating required meetings/conferences managing and coordinating required paperwork APPLY: Applicants should complete the online application and upload all supplementary materials electronically.
