Growing Metals Manufacturer in Stow, Ohio is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians on 2nd shift for a direct-hire opportunity! Pay Range: $23.17-$35/hour based on experience and knowledge. A Journeyman’s card can also give consideration to a higher pay wage. Shift: 2nd Shift - 1:30/2:00PM - 12:30AMCandidates must be open to OT; frequently worked on Saturdays.Will train on 1st shift for 90-180 days. First shift hours are 5:00AM - 2:30PM. A well-established and expanding metals manufacturing facility in Stow, Ohio is looking for a seasoned Maintenance Technician to join their 2nd shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in minimizing downtime and keeping operations running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do - Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment including processing machinery, material handling equipment, overhead cranes, and facility systems - Perform and document preventive maintenance activities - Respond quickly to unplanned breakdowns to reduce machine downtime - Promote and maintain a strong safety culture - Train and guide operators on basic daily equipment maintenance - Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs as needed - Order and manage parts inventory to support ongoing operations - Utilize company maintenance software and systems effectively - Support additional maintenance-related duties as assigned If you’re a reliable, safety-focused maintenance professional looking for stability and growth with a respected metals manufacturer, we’d love to connect! What We’re Looking For - High School Diploma or GED required - 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (metals or steel processing preferred) - Experience with coil processing equipment such as cut-to-length lines and slitters preferred - Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards - Understanding of PLC’s, aptitude to learn (Siemans, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc) - Electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulics & ability to read blue prints is an absolute must. - Experience with preventive maintenance programs - Ability to pass physical requirements (vision, hearing, mobility) - Qualified candidates will also participate in a registered apprenticeship program as part of onboarding and professional development.
