As a Dietary Staff team member, you'll play an essential role in supporting the health and well-being of our residents and staff by preparing meals with care, following dietary needs, and keeping our kitchen a safe, welcoming space. Here's how you'll contribute: Be a Meal Maker: Prepare and serve quality meals and snacks following menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines to meet each resident's unique needs. Be a Nutrition Ally: Follow doctor, nurse, and dietician instructions on dietary restrictions, allergies, and equipment needs to promote resident health. Be a Safety Advocate: Keep our kitchen and food areas spotless by following sanitation and infection-control procedures. Be a Reliable Teammate: Assist with stocking deliveries, step in during staff shortages, and support your Kitchen Supervisor when needed. Be a Detail Keeper: Follow Horizons' policies, wear proper protective gear, and ensure meals are served with care and consistency. What You'll Bring to the Team: A genuine commitment to supporting others through the work you do every day. The ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and safely handle cleaning supplies and food service equipment. Great communication and teamwork skills. A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with an eye for cleanliness and safety. Qualifications & SkillsRequired: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary orders. Preferred: Previous food service experience.
