Part-Time Accounting & Administrative Support Location: Baltimore Area Work Type: Part-Time (approx. 16 hours/week, with potential for more) Schedule: Flexible (Choose your own block of hours) Pay Rate: $20/hr - $30/hr About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Support professional to join our team as a long-term colleague prepares for retirement. This is not a "high-pressure" accounting role; rather, it is a steady, essential position that keeps our office and finances running smoothly. While the core role is 16 hours per week, we are offering the option to expand to an additional 8 or 10 hours per week for a candidate interested in taking on supplemental data entry duties. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage both AR and AP duties to ensure accurate financial records. General Bookkeeping: Assist with staff accounting duties, including monthly close-out tasks. Tax Support: Handle monthly sales tax filings and related documentation. Data Entry: Perform high-accuracy data entry (required if opting for expanded hours). Office Coordination: Manage supply ordering and maintain office inventory. Records Management: Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems. Administrative Support: Assist with miscellaneous office duties as they arise. Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required, in addition to experience with Accounts Payable (AP), bookkeeping, or as a Staff Accountant. Software: QuickBooks experience is preferred, but not required. Must be comfortable with general office administration tools. Education: No CPA required; we value practical experience and reliability over advanced certifications. Mindset: A "no task too small" attitude with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
