Material Handler Position At Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, we work as a team to manufacture boat propellers using an investment casting process. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, including tasks like loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner, often using machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety guidelines. Starting $17.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience. Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials, ensuring the accuracy of quantities of goods Label and stock materials on shelves, racks, or bins in accordance with established inventory control procedures Prepare materials for shipment by stacking and wrapping finished goods Pick and pack materials for production orders, ensuring the accuracy of quantities and tracking information Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing SAP Software and participate in cycle count activities, as required Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines Operate material handling equipment, including forklift and pallet jacks, in a safety and efficient manner Maintain stock levels in breakrooms, cabinets and other designated areas Maintain waste receptacles inside/outside of the building complying with all environmental and regulatory requirements Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED/High School equivalency Experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment preferred Certification of forklift operation preferred Required Skills & Abilities Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work within a team setting and collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Basic math competency Entry-Level computer skills including data entry and navigating various inventory software Ability to use Microsoft Office outlook and excel Attention to detail Ability to manage time efficiently, organize and prioritize tasks Ability to operate a fork-lift and/or Powered Industrial Vehicles Additional Information All candidates will be subject to full background screening prior to employment.
