Physical Therapist Location: Highlands, North Carolina Setting: Main Hospital - Rehab Services Schedule : Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p Unit Overview Bed Capacity: 24 acute/swing beds 40 nursing home beds 10 skilled nursing beds Patient Ratio: 1:1 Staffing Model: Interdisciplinary rehab team including PT, OT, and SLP Treatment Spaces: Patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and a fully equipped rehab gym Documentation Systems: Cerner and NetHealth Floating Expectations: Clinicians may rotate between acute/swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed Preferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a medical setting Required Certifications CPR Active North Carolina Physical Therapy License Required Skills Experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary rehab team Typical Responsibilities Conduct physical therapy evaluations Develop and implement individualized plans of care Participate in patient rounds and care conferences Communicate regularly with the rehab team regarding progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning
