Licensing Financial Analyst - Apparel Industry

Overview Were looking for a Licensing Financial Analyst to support and scale our growing licensing and brand partnerships business. This role sits at the intersection of finance, licensing, and retailowning royalty management, forecasting, and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of licensed brands and IP. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Licensing, Sales, and Finance to ensure accurate royalty reporting, clean forecasting, and strong financial discipline as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Royalty Management Track, calculate, and reconcile royalty statements across multiple licensors and contracts Ensure accurate reporting of sales, returns, deductions, and royalty rates Support royalty audits and resolve discrepancies with licensors and internal teams Manage royalty accruals and payment schedules in coordination with Finance Forecasting & Financial Analysis Build and maintain royalty forecasts by brand, retailer, category, and contract term Analyze performance vs. forecast and identify risks, opportunities, and trends Support MG (Minimum Guarantee) tracking, earn-out analysis, and long-range planning Assist in modeling new licensing deals, renewals, and amendments Reporting & Cross-Functional Support Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for Licensing leadership Partner with Sales and New Business teams to align forecasts with booking plans Maintain clean, organized financial trackers and documentation Support ad-hoc analysis related to new launches, retail programs, and strategic initiatives Qualifications 25 years of experience in financial analysis, royalties, licensing, or a related role Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, forecasting models required) Experience working with contracts, royalty structures, and MGs preferred Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines, and data streams simultaneously Clear communicator who can partner cross-functionally Apparel, consumer products, entertainment, or licensing experience is a plus Salary Range: $75,000$100,000 (commensurate with experience)
