Payroll Specialist The Payroll Specialist will work under the direction of the Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll processes for multiple companies, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees. This role requires independent judgement in resolving complex payroll issues, and compliance with relevant labor laws. Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and must be able to multi-task and have time management skills. High school diploma or equivalent with 1-5 years of payroll experience required or 1 year of payroll experience with a Bachelor's degree. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. This position will follow all guidelines and make informed, independent decisions related to payroll processing while utilizing problem solving skills. Monitor and maintain Federal, State, ACH, and company payroll processing guidelines. Set up and maintain garnishments. Review timesheets for all companies to make sure all pay policies are being followed and work closely with Payroll Manager to resolve issues. Work with Corporate Accounting and Corporate Tax Departments to resolve issues and provide payroll reporting. Perform data entry for payroll transactions, such as incentives, bonuses, etc. Year-end reporting and resolving year end issues. Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and other departments to resolve payroll issues and that proper payroll documentation is in place. Assist with payroll audits. Generate regular payroll reports and help identify and troubleshoot discrepancies. Provide guidance and training to department supervisors/managers on timekeeping. Serve as a point of contact for questions and support, ensuring consistency and understanding across all teams. Vision - The ability to see details at close range.
