About the Role: As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will oversee a team of service technicians responsible for the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will collaborate with the Operations Maintenance team to devise solutions for complex problems while managing projects and mentoring fellow technicians. A typical day will include: Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols. Maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems in the facility. Leading and auditing preventative maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency. Installing and troubleshooting various control components, including relay logic, motor starters, and sensors. Generating and closing work orders with detailed records of labor hours and materials used. Fostering positive relationships across the Operations facility. Developing training programs for service technicians to enhance their skills. Preparing emergency repair plans for critical equipment. Physically handling equipment weighing up to 49lbs and standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time. What You Will Need: High school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Minimum of 3 years of experience in preventative maintenance. 3 years of experience in reading blueprints and schematics. At least 2 years of experience in work order management. Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree or higher in a relevant mechanical or electrical field. 5+ years of experience with automated conveyors and control systems. 2+ years' experience in electrical and electronic principles. 4+ years in a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Leadership and vendor management experience. Expertise in robotic maintenance and familiarity with Material Handling Equipment safety standards. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Physical Demands: Engagement in repetitive physical tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. Ability to lift tools and equipment averaging 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds. Dexterity in hand-eye coordination and manual tasks. Working in various conditions including small spaces, temperature variations, and standing on concrete.
