Assistant Controller

Role Overview The Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the accounting leadership team, with primary ownership of the manufacturing and production-side accounting function. This role will partner closely with operations and plant leadership, supporting cost accounting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting, while also providing a long-term development path into broader controllership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Lead accounting support for manufacturing and production operations Own cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis Partner with operations leadership to support KPI reporting and performance insights Support month-end close activities related to inventory, production, and cost centers Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and commercial teams Contribute to process improvement and ERP-driven accounting enhancements Ideal Candidate Profile Strong accounting foundation with ownership of close and operational accounting Background in manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred Exposure to cost accounting, inventory, and production finance Public accounting experience preferred ERP experience required; SAP exposure strongly preferred Hands-on, curious, and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
