Installer Levels Installer I - Entry Level / Junior Installer Perfect for individuals new to solar or those transferring from roofing, electrical, or construction backgrounds. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the installation of residential solar PV systems under guidance. Support racking assembly, module placement, and site preparation tasks. Safely utilize ladders, fall protection, and essential power tools. Keep job sites clean, organized, and up to safety standards. Learn and understand installation plans, code requirements, and best practices. Installer II - Experienced Solar Installer Designed for installers with hands-on experience in residential solar who are capable of performing a variety of installation tasks independently. Key Responsibilities: Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems in accordance with engineered plans. Read and implement layout plans, roof diagrams, and equipment placement strategies. Install racking, modules, conduits, and assist with wiring tasks. Spot and help troubleshoot installation challenges. Support quality control and mentor Installer I team members. Installer III This role targets experienced solar professionals ready to assume advanced technical responsibilities and lead on-site. Key Responsibilities: Oversee residential solar installations from inception to completion. Troubleshoot complex roof conditions, layouts, and system issues. Ensure compliance with NEC regulations, AHJ requirements, and inspection preparation. Act as a technical resource for the installation team. Train and mentor junior installers, fostering growth within the team. Provide a pathway towards Senior Installer or advanced technical positions. What You'll Do (All Levels) Install residential solar PV systems on rooftops and ground mounts. Adhere to engineered plans, NEC standards, and local building codes. Assess job sites for safety, structural integrity, and optimal roof conditions. Document install photos, site notes, and as-built details. Maintain professional job sites with a focus on safety and quality. Achieve daily production goals while prioritizing quality workmanship. What We're Looking For Installer I: Construction, roofing, or electrical experience preferred. Installer II-III: 1-2+ years of residential solar installation experience. Comfort and safety when working on pitched roofs using ladders and fall protection. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical labor throughout the day. Dependable, safety-oriented, and collaborative mindset. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
