Security Manager The Security Manager to ensure the safety of guests, members, associates and the security of the property. He or she trains team members and ensures full compliance with all corporate guidelines and local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding emergency management, loss prevention, safety and security. The Security Manager interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff. Assist local law enforcement and leads investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss, traffic enforcement, parking controletc. at the direction of the Director of Safety & Security. The Security Manager will assist the DOS in assuring that the Resort is following OSHA regulations and Fire Safety Codes. Essential Functions o Screen, interview, select, manage, review and counsel Security Supervisors and Officers to maintain order throughout the resort. o Periodically review Officers and Supervisors' logs and security reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. o Promote safe work practices. Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and preventive measures. o Assist in the development, administration and implementation of safety incentive programs and safety training classes. Visually identify, correct and record safety hazards. o Lead and direct investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss and unlawful activities. Document details and advise Management. o Direct coordination of training in fire life safety, CPR, as well as other Corporate approved programs, such as Shuttle Driver Training and Workplace Violence training. o Review and approve departmental schedules/payroll and make necessary adjustments. o Direct and manage Lost and Found function. o Assist as needed with complaints and guest issues. o Conduct regular patrol of the property to ensure all areas are safe and secure. o Conduct Security Department monthly meetings. Attend and participate in other required resort meeting as directed by the Director of Safety & Security Internal Relationships Reports to the Director of Safety & Security. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be solely determined by the Director of Safety & Security based upon the requirements of the company. 1. Evaluate and supervise the work of the security staff. 2. Assist with In-service training as directed by the Director of Security. 3. Communicate with guests, club members, employees, or others to resolve all incidents in accordance with Resort Policy. 4. Maintain working relations with all departments within the Resort and Club. 5. Implement rules and regulations as set forth in the security manual. 6. Review all reports and paperwork. Conduct internal investigations on all incidents of theft, employee misconduct, vehicle accident or as requested by the Director of Safety & Security 7. Maintain and assist in direction all emergency preparedness procedures. 8. Organize and coordinate all departmental meetings. 9. Ensure that all officers possess CPR/AED Certificate. 10. Maintain and inspect all alarms and closed-circuit television systems. 11. Inspect all shifts and post on a routine basis. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the Director of Safety & Security. External Relationships Has regular contact with and assisted all departments as needed Qualifications Management and supervision experience required. Five or more years in Security or related experience required. Law Enforcement and Customer service experience preferred. Working knowledge of Windows based programs required. Education/Experience Requirements High School Diploma required. Related four-year college degree preferred. Certified in CPR, Interview and Interrogations, and OSHA 501 Certification. Law Enforcement experience preferred Physical Requirements Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
