Job Description Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs using industry-standard estimating software. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids. Create clear, comprehensive estimate proposals and scopes of work. Coordinate with project management and preconstruction teams to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate potential risks. Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, labor rates, and construction methods. Participate in value-engineering sessions as needed. Assist with bid submissions and presentations. The Successful Applicant 3+ years of experience as an estimator in commercial construction (ground-up, TI, or renovations). Strong understanding of construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, Sage, etc.). Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
