Responsibilities Work in a Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) within a hospital setting 10-bed ICU caring for critically ill stroke and neurosurgery patients age 18 and older Patient population includes ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, non-traumatic neurosurgery, and neurology patients Care includes post-op neurosurgery, ICP monitoring, care after tPA administration, mechanical thrombectomy, AVM and aneurysm repairs, carotid stenting, craniotomy, CRRT, ventilator, and hemodynamic management Night shift, 3x12hr shifts, 18:45-07:15; flexibility to rotate days/nights preferred Weekend (every other weekend) and holiday coverage required, including 1 hardship shift depending on assignment May be required to float to other ICUs as needed Uses Epic EMR; prior experience required Responsible for care of both neurosurgical and overflow medical ICU patients Must be willing to care for COVID patients if required Facility is tobacco and fragrance free Expected to work 2 of 3 major upcoming holidays and no RTO permitted between Christmas and New Years Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted during contract Clinical screening and manager interview required for consideration Requirements Active PA or compact RN license Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Strong experience in EVD, ICP monitoring, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid procedures, and embolization care Epic EMR experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-669243.
