Position Title: DoD SkillBridge Internship - Talent Acquisition / HR Operations Location: Webster / Houston, Texas (hybrid/ remote may be considered for strong candidates) Relocation Assistance: Not available for internship positions Remote/Telework: Preferably Onsite (Hybrid may be considered based on experience) Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen, Must be Actively Serving Military Servicemember Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard duty hours DoD SkillBridge Eligibility - Please Review Carefully This internship is available only to currently serving Active-Duty U.S. military members who are approved or eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program. Applicants must: Be within 365-180 days of separation or retirement Obtain command approval prior to internship start Meet all DoD SkillBridge participation requirements This opportunity is not open to civilians, students, or veterans who have already separated from service. Overview: Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a transitioning service member with foundational experience or education in Human Resources, personnel administration, recruiting, or workforce operations to participate in a DoD SkillBridge internship supporting our HR and Talent Acquisition team. This internship is designed for service members who already possess exposure to personnel-related responsibilities and are seeking to translate that experience into a civilian career in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition within the defense and aerospace sector. The selected intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate HR operations, federal contractor recruiting, compliance considerations, and workforce planning in a DoD contracting environment. This is not a full retraining opportunity. Candidates must demonstrate prior exposure to personnel, administrative, recruiting, or workforce-related functions. Description of Duties: The selected intern will work alongside Aegis Aerospace HR and Recruiting professionals and will be integrated into daily operations. The intern will:Support full-cycle recruiting activities including resume review, candidate screening, interview coordination, and applicant communicationsAssist with candidate sourcing efforts through job boards and internal systemsCoordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and contract stakeholdersMaintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)Assist with onboarding coordination and documentation reviewSupport HR administrative functions and personnel data trackingGain exposure to federal contractor compliance and employment law considerationsParticipate in recruiting strategy discussions and workforce planning initiativesCommunicate professionally with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders Minimum Qualifications:Must be a current active-duty U.S. service member eligible for DoD SkillBridge participationMust be a U.S. Citizen Must demonstrate prior experience in at least one of the following:Military personnel administrationCommand support or manpower managementRecruiting support or staffing coordinationAdministrative leadership involving personnel documentation or trackingCareer counseling or service member support roles ORCurrently pursuing or holding education in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive informationProfessional demeanor and ability to operate in a corporate environment Desired Qualifications:Military HR, personnel, recruiting MOS/AFSC/RateExperience reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, or supporting hiring actionsFamiliarity with HR systems or databasesInterest in pursuing HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CPDemonstrated interest in transitioning into a civilian HR or Talent Acquisition career What Makes This Internship ValuableExposure to federal contractor recruiting in a cleared environmentVisibility into security clearance verification processesDirect interaction with hiring managers and contract leadershipExperience with compensation alignment and offer coordinationPractical understanding of HR compliance within the defense sector Important InformationThis is an unpaid internship.
