As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist team members and shoppers with clear, professional communication. You will monitor key areas, support access control and/or badge checks as needed, and document observations. What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. + Respond to incidents such as disturbances, suspected shoplifting, and/or medical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to management and/or local emergency services as needed. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances and exits, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft and/or unauthorized activity. + Monitor and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and complete required documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports. + Assist with access control as assigned, including greeting visitors, observing deliveries, verifying authorized areas, and supporting closing and/or opening procedures at the location. Minimum Requirements: + Be 21+ years of age. + Customer service experience is preferred. + A guard card and/or license is preferred. + Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
