We're hiring a Product Data Engineer to help ensure product information, engineering systems, and manufacturing data all work together accurately and efficiently. This position supports fiber-optic product lines and is ideal for someone who enjoys uncovering patterns in data while also understanding how real-world products are designed, configured, and built. If you like figuring out why something looks off in the data, and tracing it back to the product or process, you'll likely enjoy this role. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure product data, specifications, and technical systems operate seamlessly together. This position plays a key role in identifying trends, improving system logic, and strengthening the connection between product behavior and the data behind it. Responsibilities Maintain and manage product specifications, drawings, and engineering data Ensure product configurations are accurate across ERP and engineering systems Translate customer and product requirements into structured data setups Execute and validate engineering changes before release Analyze product data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities Improve workflows through automation and system improvements Support manufacturing with accurate product setup information Investigate issues and determine root cause Partner with supply chain, planning, and operations teams Support internal and external technical questions Help maintain data integrity across multiple systems Assist in developing new ETL processes and Back End integrations You'll be part of a collaborative product engineering group that supports global manufacturing operations and plays a direct role in product accuracy and performance. Requirements for the Role Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred) 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a technical environment SQL data management experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented Comfortable working with structured data and technical systems Ability to interpret technical standards and product specs Oracle experience a plus Microsoft Access experience a plus If you're an engineer who naturally asks "why does this data look like that?" and enjoys connecting product knowledge with meaningful insights, we should talk.
