About the Company and Bookkeeper Opportunity: CFS is partnering with a great repeat non profit client in Baltimore City to bring on a Bookkeeper on a contract to hire basis The Bookkeeper will join a small tight knit and well tenured team The organization is extremely stable and provides incredible benefits to their employees, including 100% paid health insurance, 401K, free garage parking, and more! Schedule: 8:30am-5pm M-F. Fully on site in Baltimore city. Candidates must be local and have reliable transportation Reports to the Finance Manager Salary: $45,000-$50,000 Job Duties of the Bookkeeper: Enter data into system relative to employer contributions, maintain spreadsheets, and coordinate reconciliation between cash receipts and reports Perform bank reconciliation Create journal entries Monitor receipt of contributions and follow up on past due contributions Responds to requests for information from contributing employers Interact with staff on employment verification or contribution inquiries Maintain and reconcile records of contributions of active companies Record incoming payments Process special billings as needed Qualifications for the Bookkeeper: 1+ years' accounts receivable/cash application (not medical billing) experience required Intermediate Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) Experience using Great Plains and/or Sage Intacct a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, comfortable working in a fast paced environment Must be able to pass a background check
