Job DescriptionJoin our Team at theDepartment of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Menlo Park, CAas aPhysician - Geriatrics (Community Living Center)Major duties include but are not limited to:Clinical:The physician isPrimarily assigned inpatient attending responsibilities in the Community Living Center.Responsible for providing an admission H&P, assessment, diagnosis & management plan, referrals as deemed necessary, inpatient or outpatient consultations, supervision of Geriatric fellows and rotating medical trainees, evaluating referrals for inpatient admission or consultation, leading and participation in family conferences and being an active member of the interdisciplinary team.Participates in and directs activities pertaining to quality improvement, strategic planning and unannounced survey by Ascellon Health.Participates in the On call schedule on a rotating basis along with other physicians for coverage after hours and weekends/holidays.Administrative:The CLC Staff Physician participates in:EC&PMS and Hospital CommitteesEC&PMS Service MeetingsFaculty MeetingsEducation:The Inpatient Staff CLC Physician may hold a faculty appointment at Stanford University, in the division of GIM. The incumbent will participate in the educational activities of rotating medical fellows in Geriatrics and Palliative Care.
