ALLIANCE ENABLEMENT, AWSFocus: Certifications, Competencies & Enablement Programs Region: Global The Opportunity VML Enterprise Solutions is investing in building AWS-certified talent at scale. We're seeking an enablement leader to own the programs that build VML's AWS delivery capacity-certifications, competency applications, and learning initiatives that maintain our partner standing and enable us to win and deliver on strategic opportunities. This role ensures VML has the certified practitioners and demonstrated competencies required to maintain premier AWS partner status (MSP, competencies, specializations), win competitive pursuits, and deliver excellence. When VML achieves an AWS competency milestone or certification target-that's because of you. Role Summary This is a learning and enablement role focused on building AWS-certified talent across VML. You manage certification programs, competency applications, AWS Skillbuilder rollout, and enablement initiatives that drive delivery readiness and partner standing. Accountability Model: Enablement metrics. Success is measured by certifications achieved, competencies attained, and program completion rates. Core Responsibilities1. Certification Roadmap & Management (35%) Own the AWS certification roadmap and targets for VML globally Track certification progress and drive adoption across VML regions and practices Coordinate exam scheduling, vouchers, and logistics Manage AWS Skillbuilder rollout and access for VML practitioners Communicate AWS certification requirements and deadlines to practitioners and leadership Track and report on certification metrics, gaps, and progress against targets Identify high-priority certification needs based on pursuit pipeline and delivery requirements 2. Competency Applications & Compliance (30%) Prepare and submit AWS competency applications (MSP, Service Delivery designations, specializations) Own applications for priority competencies: Managed Services Provider (MSP), Amazon Marketing Technology (AMT), Generative AI Track VML progress toward AWS competency requirements Coordinate evidence gathering and documentation for competency submissions Ensure VML maintains required certification levels for AWS partner tiers Support Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) application and renewal processes Monitor and report on compliance status and gaps 3. Lead Enablement Programs (25%) Support and coordinate hackathons, bootcamps, and hands-on AWS enablement events Coordinate AWS-sponsored training sessions and workshops Work with HR and L&D on AWS learning program integration Support client and sales enablement coordination for AWS pursuits Document and share best practices, learning paths, and AWS resources Coordinate with AWS Partner Training teams on available resources 4. Stakeholder Coordination (10%) Coordinate with AWS Partner Development Managers (PDMs) on enablement initiatives Work with VML practice leads to align certification priorities with business needs Report on enablement metrics to alliance and practice leadership Support alliance operations with enablement-related data and reporting Key AWS Programs & Competencies AWS Managed Services Provider (MSP) Program Amazon Marketing Technology (AMT) Competency AWS Generative AI Competency AWS Service Delivery designations (Lambda, Bedrock, etc.) AWS Skillbuilder and Partner Training Portal AWS Certification paths (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, Specialty) Technology & AI Expectations Incorporate AI fluency into certification and enablement roadmaps. Use company-approved AI tools and technologies to scale enablement programs and track learning outcomes. Build AI literacy programs for VML practitioners. Team Leadership & Management Accountability: Accountable for program outcomes. Success depends on ability to drive adoption across a distributed workforce. Leadership Expectations: Coordinate across L&D, HR, partner teams, and practitioners without direct authority. Drive program adoption through influence and stakeholder management. Build relationships with partner enablement teams. Management Scope: Individual contributor; coordinates across L&D, HR, and partner teams without direct reports. Success Metrics AWS certifications achieved (target: 300+ annually) Competencies attained and maintained (MSP, AMT, GenAI) Skillbuilder adoption and completion rates AWS partner tier maintenance Competency application success rate Hackathon and enablement event participation Program completion rates QualificationsRequired 2-5+ years in L&D, enablement, certification programs, or training coordination Experience managing technical certification programs at scale Multi-stakeholder learning initiatives experience Understanding of cloud certification requirements and learning paths LMS administration familiarity Strong organizational and project management skills Background in Global Systems Integrator (GSI), agency, or professional services environment Preferred Experience with AWS Partner Programs and certification requirements Familiarity with AWS Skillbuilder and Partner Training Portal Experience with competency applications (MSP, specializations) AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner or above) L&D certifications or formal training background GSI/agency certification program experience Bachelor's degree Role Positioning This role builds VML's AWS-certified talent pool-not a quota-carrying seller, relationship manager, or client-facing role. You will be the reason VML achieves AWS certification milestones and competency designations. You will drive the Skillbuilder rollout that upskills our practitioners. You will coordinate the hackathons that build hands-on expertise. And you will ensure VML has the certified talent required to maintain premier AWS partner status and win on our most important opportunities.
