American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment serving primarily adult patients, with trauma experience required. Job Details • Work in a level 2 trauma center with a level 3 NICU and interventional stroke certification, • Care for patients from infants to geriatrics, primarily adults but includes pediatric intubated patients, • Performs non-invasive and conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial line procedures, oxygen management, patient education, and arterial/capillary blood gases, • Utilizes Epic EMR, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea systems, • Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 18:30 to 07:00, • Works every other weekend, • Floating required within facility and to nearby sister campus as needed, • No call or on-call obligations, Job Requirements • Active GA RRT license required if applicable, • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, • Trauma experience mandatory, • Pulmonary function testing experience preferred, • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred, Additional Information • Duties include managing advanced respiratory interventions and providing patient education, • Slate gray scrubs required, • Travelers must be available to work major holidays according to assignment length; specific holiday RTO policies apply, • Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO), RTO required with consideration and cannot be during the first week, • First-time travelers are accepted, • Candidates must provide proof of required certifications, • Returning travelers must have been away from all related facilities for at least one full year, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, • Compliance is required before starting to avoid orientation delays,
