Director of Operations Finance Role Overview This role operates at the critical intersection of finance and manufacturing, where cost structure, inventory performance, and operational execution directly influence business outcomes. This is not a corporate reporting or back‑office accounting position. Instead, the Director of Operations Finance is fully embedded in the operation—serving as a strategic partner to manufacturing, supply chain, and plant leadership. This leader will drive margin improvement, capital and inventory efficiency, and operational performance, while providing real-time insights that translate data into actionable strategies on the shop floor. Spanish language skills are highly preferred, as they strengthen communication across plant teams and support more seamless engagement with production personnel. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the Operational Finance team, building strong succession pipelines. Oversee product costing and inventory valuation in line with GAAP. Maintain and enhance internal controls related to cost accounting and operational finance. Drive margin improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations. Provide managerial accounting insights, including ROI analysis, asset utilization, and performance metrics. Deliver timely financial and operational reporting to support forecasting and strategic planning. Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations leadership to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities. Support new product development with robust cost models and profitability analysis. Improve processes, systems, and documentation to ensure high integrity of financial data. Communicate operational financial results and recommendations to executive leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 8+ years of progressive managerial accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams. Deep understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, and GAAP. Experience working within ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred). Advanced Excel skills. CPA or CMA preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross‑functionally. Spanish-speaking candidates highly preferred.
