Albany Medical Collegeis seeking a strong and enthusiastic leader to serve asChief of our Division of Gastroenterology. Albany Medical College is part of the Albany Med Health System, which serves as the only academic health sciences center and Level 1 trauma center in northeastern New York. As Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, you will have the opportunity to rebuild the department as it continues to provide comprehensive care throughout the Capital Region through the Digestive Disease Center. TheGastroenterology divisiondirects a Fellowship training program (of 9 fellows) and has unique faculty expertise in:HepatologyMotility disordersInflammatory bowel diseasePancreaticobiliary diseaseAdvanced endoscopy AsChief, you will have the opportunity to:Oversee and manage clinical operations and the education of fellows in a high demand gastroenterology programAdminister care to a diverse and complicated disease population of patientsWork alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver top quality careQualifications include:MD or DO with board certification in GastroenterologyInterest or experience in developing expertise in a clinical subspecialtyExperience or interest in leadership, education and program development.Eligible for academic appointment at associate professor or professor levelClinical research is highly desiredCompensation and Professional Development:Competitive compensation package, including salary, comprehensive benefits, and retirement options.Salary range (as required in New York State): $500,000-$575,000Opportunities for professional development, including leadership training, administrative and financial support, and external collaborations.
