The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an academic leader to fill the position for the Division Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Gynecology. The University of Texas Southwestern is the home of the largest residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and likely the busiest clinical program in the United States. We have over 100 faculty members, 209 classified staff, 72 residents and 16 fellows. The Department has a robust research program and excellent postgraduate training programs. Our faculty practice across two complementary clinical settings: Parkland Health, where we serve a broad and underrepresented patient population, and William P. Clements University Hospital, which provides a tertiary, university-based environment for patients. This combination offers exceptional breadth and depth of clinical experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and the delivery of evidence-based clinical care. The primary responsibility will be to lead integrated clinical and investigative programs that advance the departments strategic priorities. This individual will direct the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Gynecology, ensuring excellence in patient care, medical education for students, residents, and fellows, and the development of high-impact research that informs clinical practice. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, successful completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, board-certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and experience in leadership and scholarship. Applicants must also be eligible for Texas medical licensure. Completion of fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery is not required.
