Level 2 Network Engineer We are seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both wired and wireless network environments, with a strong focus on hands-on tasks and technical expertise. The role involves working with various network technologies and tools. Key Responsibilities Execute wireless surveys using Ekahau tools, including passive and APOS surveys, to ensure optimal wireless coverage and performance. Conduct LAN surveys, including visual inspections and occasional cable tracing, and document findings with photos and detailed reports. Perform rack and stack, patching, and cabling tasks, including working with copper, fiber (single and multi-mode), and SFPs. Provide remote access solutions, upgrade IOS versions, and apply network configurations for devices such as Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Collaborate with client IT teams to implement network changes and upgrades. Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Assist in the design and implementation of network projects and initiatives. Ability to travel 50-75% required. Must live near major airport. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies. Qualifications Experience using Ekahau Site Survey tool. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on both wired and wireless networks. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with network security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($45.00 to $50.00/hourly). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
