Responsibilities Position is based in the hospital Operating Room Level 1 Trauma Center with a focus on Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery cases Preferred experience with Neurosurgery, Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology procedures Scheduled for 5x8 hour night shifts, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM Call requirement is one 10-hour shift per month on a weekend, either 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM Weekend work required every other weekend Mandatory floating within scope to other units or facilities as needed, including notification up to 2 hours before shift and potentially up to 50 miles away Uses Cerner EMR system Navy blue scrubs are required and will be provided No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed with no more than 2 consecutive days; no holiday or weekend RTO permitted Lab work for compliance must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer If floated outside of primary competency, a team-based model will be utilized Failure to comply with floating requirements may result in contract cancellation Requirements Current and active Illinois RN license, no pending licensure accepted Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required BLS certification required Strong scrub and circulate skills Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery required Must be able to provide proof of COVID vaccination Local candidates preferred, must reside within 75 miles of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-662182.
