CDL Driver - Equipment Operator

The Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in managing customer environmental programs by transporting waste from customer facilities to designated disposal sites. You will be the primary point of contact for environmental and hazardous waste services, ensuring compliance and safety at all times. WORK SCHEDULE: Rotating shifts, including days and nights, with overtime as needed. Previous experience with Hydroblasting, Vacuum Trucks, Warehouse/Manufacturing, General Labor, or Industrial fields is a plus, but not mandatory! Key Responsibilities: Act as a safety representative, responsible for adhering to company and customer safety policies and procedures. Hands-on operation of vacuum and hydroblasting equipment. Utilize specialized equipment, including Ultra High-Pressure pumps. Operate pumping equipment and specialized cleaning units as needed. Inspect cleaned surfaces to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform routine maintenance on operational equipment. Manage tasks related to liquid vacs, air machines, and jet rodders. Direct a crew of vacuum technicians as required. Transport equipment and personnel safely to customer locations. Complete pre and post trip inspections and maintain accurate logs as per DOT regulations. Load and unload necessary hoses and equipment. Provide general maintenance support in the field. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Relevant vocational training and hands-on experience in equipment operation. Ability to understand safety training and respond to instructions in English. A valid driver's license and a CDL Class A or B are mandatory when driving company vehicles or using personal vehicles for business. Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device compliance. Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be necessary. Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers. Experience with vacuum trucks is an advantage. Familiarity with wet and dry vacuum operation is beneficial. What do you need to work with Thompson Industrial? A high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. CDL Class A or B License is not a strict requirement. HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements are preferred.
