POSITION DETAILS: The Group Events Coordinator will serve as the primary link between group leaders, guests, and internal departments involved in hosting unforgettable events at the resort. Events may include weddings, corporate gatherings, and private functions. This full-time, year-round position is eligible for benefits and begins at $23.00/hour plus commission. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Collaborate closely with guests to coordinate all event details. Organize space requirements, timing, audio/visual needs, menus, decorations, activities, and lodging with guests and internal teams. Oversee project management for special events. Communicate effectively with staff to ensure quality service and guest satisfaction. Be present to ensure the successful execution of events. Document all event and group details in Delphi. Partner with outside vendors connected to groups and events. Manage billing for each group and event. Conduct post-event reviews and provide recommendations for improvement. Maintain excellent communication with Sales Managers, Catering Manager, Food and Beverage Director, and Director of Sales. Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in Conference Services and Food & Beverage in a hotel environment strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Able to work with diverse groups of people. Ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Passion for providing superior customer service. Flexible with work schedule; weekend and evening availability required. Understanding of resort operations. Familiarity with Delphi, Host, Microsoft Outlook is a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
