Maintenance Technician I

The Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the field of facility maintenance. This role assists with general building upkeep, and preventative maintenance (PM) on HVAC systems and cannabis process equipment. Responsibilities & Duties Follow instructions given by the managerParticipate in routine inspections of buildings and equipment, and learn how to identify and diagnose issuesSubmit and complete work orders accurately and effectivelyMotivate and guide INSA requestors to submit work orders through task management system for improved workorder managementPerform basic repairs and maintenance like painting, carpentry, masonry, and plumbingLearn and assist in maintaining cannabis process equipment Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on HVAC systems, such as replacing filters and cleaning condenser coilsConduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment, identifying issues and reporting findings to the Facilities ManagerSupport workspace reconfigurations, including moving and installing furniture, partitions, and storage unitsAccommodate a flexible schedule and respond to issues or problems rapidlyComplete assigned tasks within the established timeframes and specificationsCompliant with Company SOPs and state regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly storedFollow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to managementBehave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamworkPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED required0-1 years of experience working in maintenanceWillingness to learn cannabis processing equipment operations and develop maintenance skills.Ability to use task management system and reporting (or willingness to learn).Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate team members to follow processes.Adaptable, proactive, and willing to work weekends and extended hours as needed.Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (or willingness to learn).Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.
