Quality Control (Welding)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (Welding) professional to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our welding processes meet the highest standards of quality and safety. 1st Shift We are specifically looking for someone that has experience reading blueprints and weld symbols. Someone that has quality experience in a heavy industrial setting it a plus. We are also open to Welder/Fabricators that are looking to get off of the floor. Vendor relationships are something that is a responsibility of the role. If you have a passion for quality inspection and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Conduct thorough quality inspections of welding processes and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges to assess product specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify product dimensions and tolerances. Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality materials are used in production. Analyze quality control data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise measurements. Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and improve welding processes. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities. Qualifications Proven experience in quality inspection and quality control, preferably in a welding environment. Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is highly desirable. Ability to analyze quality control data and generate reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and supplier management. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in quality control or welding are a plus.
