Job Description CNC Machinist - Large Part MachiningFANUC Controls | Horizontal Lathes & Mills | Aerospace, Defense, Energy If you’re an experienced CNC machinist who enjoys working on large, complex components - not small repetitive parts - this is an opportunity to join a stable, quality-driven manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, mining, and energy markets. This is real machinist work: big iron, boring mills, horizontal lathes, tight tolerances, and parts that matter. What You’ll Work On Large, precision components for high-performance industrial applications FANUC-controlled CNC machines Predominantly horizontal lathes, along with horizontal and vertical mills 80% horizontal machining 3-4 vertical mills onsite Boring mills and large-part setups Materials used in aerospace, defense, mining, and energy industries If you enjoy working on substantial parts that require planning, precision, and skill - this environment will keep you challenged. What You’ll Be Doing Full machine setups from blueprint to first article Programming/editing at the machine (FANUC control) Reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T Holding tight tolerances on large components Using bore gauges, micrometers, and precision inspection equipment Adjusting offsets, troubleshooting chatter, improving surface finish Performing routine maintenance and machine checks Collaborating with quality and engineering to meet exact specifications You will be trusted to think critically and solve problems - not simply load parts and push cycle start.
