Day Shift CNC Machinist (Full Length)

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Day Shift CNC Machinist for a manufacturing client located in East Houston, TX. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.Pay: $20/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday - Day Shift Summary The CNC Machinist is responsible for fully setting up CNC machines, performing premium threading on various product and material types, inspecting parts to specification, maintaining product traceability, and supporting training and operational improvements. This role also assists the leadman/supervisor as needed and helps ensure all production and quality standards are met. Responsibilities • Set up CNC machines completely and accurately in all aspects • Perform setup and threading of any premium thread on all applicable products and materials • Troubleshoot machining and production issues effectively and implement proper corrections • Work with Operations management to identify, innovate, and implement process improvements • Assist the leadman/supervisor in training CNC machinists • Support leadman/supervisor duties during their absence • Perform dimensional inspection of parts per required specifications • Maintain full traceability of product throughout the manufacturing process • Meet or exceed all key performance indicators and related non?conformance metrics • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time • Report non?conformances to the leadman and/or supervisors immediately • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machinist experience • Ability to operate applicable inspection, measuring, and test equipment • Strong troubleshooting and problem?solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to follow specifications, drawings, and work instructions • Reliable, safety?focused, and dependable
