Job Title: Masker Location: Torrance California 90501 Duration: 12 Months Work Type: Onsite Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm-10:30pmPosition Overview:Working hours will be 2pm-10:30pm There will be a 10% shift differential Masks or unmasks various products and parts for painting or selective plating. Interprets blueprints, work instructions, both written and verbal instructions, to determine the most effective procedures for masking various products. Uses masking tape, paint, various types of wax and protective devices to selectively mask off certain sections of parts and/or units that are to be painted or plated. Uses various hand tools such as punches, scissors, brushes, knives or razor blades to cut and remove tape. Position protective coatings on parts or units in accordance with instructions. Removes tape, wax, paint and other protective coatings after selective painting or plating process has been completed. Touches up paint damaged parts using a brush. Adheres to all processing specifications necessary to achieve blueprint requirements and quality of the hardware. Demonstrates excellent safety practices and habits to ensure all rules are obeyed and implemented. Keeps work area clean. Performs other related duties as required. This job requires access to US export-controlled information. Must be computer-literate
