Responsibilities Hospital-based MRI department Various shift options available: 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 AM–6:30 PM), or 3x12-hour shifts (8:00 AM–8:30 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM) 36 hours per week Occasional weekend shifts may be required On-call and holiday rotation required Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation Prepares and positions patients for procedures, including patient instruction and immobilization as needed Applies MR safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and others Selects and operates MRI systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment per established protocols Performs venipuncture, maintains venous access, and prepares and administers contrast media Evaluates images for technical quality and manipulates or reconstructs digital data for proper display and identification Uses radiology information systems including PACS for recordkeeping, archiving, and image submission for physician review Assists physicians with interventional procedures and practices aseptic technique and universal precautions Works as part of a multidisciplinary team and may serve on committees or participate in department projects May provide practical instruction to students and clinical partners Flexible scheduling and shift adjustments may be required to support department needs Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist Graduate of an accredited radiography program ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications required Current BLS/BCLS certification required License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-677588.
