Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local laws impacting payroll. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times. Job Type: Full-TimeWorkplace Type: Flex for your day, 3 days per week in personRequired to be in the office 5 days per week during the first 3 months of the training period.Office Location: Gaithersburg, MDFLSA Status: Exempt What you will do: Prepare and process Service Payroll (weekly) to include export files and upload to payroll systemUse Signature Time software to approve Project Manager / Project Engineer timecards weekly and import to ERPPost time entry and transfer batches daily and/or as backupProcess Administrative payroll (bi-weekly)Process New Equipment Sales payroll (monthly)Make positive pay entry on bank website for all live checks printedPrepare and forward payroll funding and garnishment requests to A/P, and prepare payroll depositsProcess all other special payrolls including Bonuses, Commissions, WCA's, Leads, etc.Perform new associate setup items in payroll system and ERPElectronically approve payroll record changes for all associates to include address, direct deposit, and withholding changes.Enter bank transactions for tax deposits, direct deposits, payroll system fees & benefit deductions to Payroll Operating bank accountsCreate export files from payroll system for check detail, labor transactions & associates changes used to create general ledger payroll entriesPrepare and submit Union hours/dues report monthlyPrepare reports to include Commission/Salary Report, Commission/Draw Report, Union Scale ReportGenerate certified payrolls upon request and upload using multiple electronic platformsUpload Union rate and Union Dues increase, Admin rate changes, Union Fringe updatesResponsible for garnishment setup and tracking in payroll systemResponsible for charitable deduction payout, annuallyResponsible for updating Management Fee/Annual Budget related worksheetsCreate commission worksheets for New Equipment SalesReconcile various payroll accounts in General Ledger Process annual fringe benefits payrollsOther duties as assigned What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Requires 5+ years of experience in payroll, including state and federal laws impacting payroll.Strong Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, iSolved, Miter)Experience with multiple certified payroll software platformsStrong IT capabilities, including MS Office; ExcelAttention to detail, analytical, confidential Physical Requirements: Sitting for extended periods of timeAbility to work in standard office environment We offer: Excellent pay and benefitsGreat and supportive work environmentProfessional training and growthGenerous educational assistance programRecognition and outstanding co-workers!
