Role Summary: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will utilize your software engineering expertise and systems knowledge to automate and refine the build, test, customization, and delivery of compute images and associated tools on a global scale. The ideal candidate will lead in designing and delivering new features, drive operational excellence, and enhance engineering and operational practices. Responsibilities Design and develop software solutions to enhance the imaging pipeline and tools. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and solutions. Engage in design and code reviews to uphold high standards. Proactively recommend and implement service improvements for better efficiency. Participate in on-call rotation for team services and efficiently resolve issues within defined service level agreements (SLAs). Minimum Qualifications BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of software development experience. 2+ years of experience in Linux system administration and configuration. Proficient in two or more programming languages, including Java, Python, Golang, or shell scripting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Linux security hardening and compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, CIS, FedRAMP, or NIST. Background in delivering server configuration management at scale. Knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.
