Material Handler The position of Material Handler Level 1 will be to manage shipping/receiving of product and parts to meet the customer build schedule. Monitor customer portal, release ASN's, process returns prepare shippers as required. Responsible for creating packing slips, BOL releases in Epicor. Establish and maintain minimum/maximum stock. Ability to control long-term, short-term and immediate usage as well as resolve material usage issues. Key Responsibilities: Monitor customer portal and schedule to ensure production requirements can be met. Work with Purchasing/Materials Department to schedule pick-up and/or delivery of product. Receive and process incoming shipments per work instructions. Release ASN's per customer requirements. Return shippers, if applicable, per customer requirements. Operate industrial equipment and maintain a valid operator's permit. Plan production schedule for painted parts, if applicable, per customer orders. Process necessary paperwork when parts are incorrect. Process may be customer specific. In Epicor, prepare packing slips, bill of lading and create releases for parts in inventory. Control inventory of materials by long-term storage, short-term storage, and immediate usage, with the ability to solve material issues immediately. Maintain Super-G and Sims Ratings. Communicate discrepancies or continuous improvement recommendations to Plant Manager or designee. Work with quality department to ensure all non-conforming material is tagged as per applicable procedures. Adhere to the IATF16949 requirements by ensuring that inventory of materials meets the production build schedule per customer requirements. Ensure compliance to ISO14001 and Hazardous Communication Policy. Ensure compliance with proper handling, storage and preparation of shipments of Hazardous Waste based on the EPA's RCRA standard. Ensure that the OSHA and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to. Comply with provisions of the OSHA Regulations and take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of the employees. Ensure employees are acquainted with and aware of the hazards present in the workplace and provide information, instruction and properly supervise employees. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Minimum Required: Grade 12 completion or equivalent Experience: Minimum Required: 0 to 3 months of Material Handling Experience Preferred: 3 to 6 months of Material Handling Experience Must have and maintain a valid Fork Lift Certification Strong computer skills with the understanding of purchasing software. Experience with Microsoft Office including excel. Knowledge of TS16949 or IATF 16949, Quality Audits, and Environmental Management System and OSHA Working Conditions: The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis: Manufacturing/production floor environment with a presence on the production floor required for at least 60% of daily work time. Continued exposure to industrial manufacturing, automotive vehicles, weather elements, chemicals and robotics. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times on the production floor.
