Event Supervisor - Proof of the Pudding Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Food & Beverage Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more. We are seeking an Event Supervisor to help facilitate events and provide Front of House leadership on-site. The Event Supervisor is responsible for supervising event staff, coordinating setup and breakdown, ensuring all service and presentation standards are met, and delivering an exceptional experience for clients and guests. They play a hands-on role during events, including managing buffet stations, delegating tasks, serving and clearing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment while upholding food safety best practices. Duties may include but are not limited to: Ensure the setting of tables/buffets are accurate according to diagram and/or sample table. Managing time effectively to ensure all BEO items are completed prior to service times. Delegating tasks to team members based on their positions and talents. Managing the team that is scheduled to run each event. Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include dcor, linens, and china. Responsible for unloading/loading event trucks safely and effectively. Ensure the client is communicated with and checked in on throughout the event. Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques. Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service. Adhere to food safety best practices and policies. Hands-on involvement in events includes a variety of physical tasks, such as the lifting of heavy objects, handling food and alcohol, loading serving carts and trays, stocking supplies, and garbage removal. Reporting to the Operations Manager and performing any tasks assigned in order to execute a flawless event. Perform other related duties as needed. Education and/or Experience: Experience leading a food & beverage team is required, experience in catering is preferred. Proven customer service skills, experience communicating with clients at events. Must be effective at multi-tasking. Employee must reside in a commutable distance from Atlanta, GA. Work Environment: This position may report directly to event locations. This position will require traversing different terrains while lifting and moving product, equipment, and food items. This position could also drive or ride to events across the greater Atlanta region where the work environments may be buildings, temporary structures, or outdoors. Uniform Requirements: Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. Non-slip shoes are necessary. Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue. Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items. Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
